5 miles

Today I ran 5 miles in 52:15 minutes. I ran at 5.8 mph (10:20 pace) for most of the run then did 6 mph for .1 miles and 6.5 for .15 miles. Felt great!

A challenging 4 miles this morning. I just felt so tired! I did it though. I ran at a 10:30 pace total time 42 minutes.

3 miles easy and legs

Today I ran 3 miles at an 11 minute/ mile pace, nice recovery run. Afterwards I did 30 minutes of legs strength training. Felt good and worked hard.

6 miles and upper body strength training

Today I did 6 miles (long run) at a average pace of 10:32. Felt good, was challenging at the end but I did the whole thing without walking. First long run of the half marathon training!

I also did 60 minutes of upper body strength training (chest, back, biceps, triceps, shoulders and abs).

Tomorrow I am planning on doing 3 miles easy run and strength training legs.

Today I ran 2.5 miles of intervals (Previously was doing 2 miles).... 1 min at 7.5 mph and 1 min at 4 mph with .25 mile warm up and .25 mile cool down.... 3 miles total.

4 miles

Today I ran 4 miles! I was only going to do 3, then 3.5 then decided to go for 4! It was quite hard at first but after a mile or two I was feeling much better. Total time 43:20 for the run.

Glad to get back into things. A bit slow, but I am still fighting this cold!

intervals and arms and shoulders

Today I ran intervals .... 20 minutes.... 1 min at 4.0, 3 min at 6.1 (9:50 min/miles).... plus 5 min warm up and 5 min cool down total of 2.37 miles

Also did shoulders and arms between intervals.

Saturday and Sunday

Saturday I ran 4 miles outside. Not going to lie, it was challenging but I did it and ran the whole time. A bit slow, 11 min/miles but I guess that is to be expected with the lack of running going on in my life at the moment.

Sunday I did 45 minutes of whole body exercises.... 2 sets of 2 different moves for legs, chest, back, shoulders, biceps, triceps and abs. Felt good to get back into some strength training. I also ran 20 minutes of intervals... 1 minute at 7mph (8:30 min/miles) and 1 min at 4 mph (15 min/mile) for a total of 20 minutes, then 25 minutes of walking at 4.0 mph. For a total of 45 minutes and 3 miles.

I did 20 minutes of intervals today. 1 min at 7.5 mph (8 min/mile) 1 min at 4.0 mph (15 min/mile)

Felt great.

back on track

Today I ran 2.5 miles in 28 minutes. Finally got back into things today and am so happy about it. After being sick for a week I am ready to get back into it. It was a hard run but I stuck it out for the 2.5 miles.

1 mile run and 3.5 mile walk

Well what was supposed to be a 9.44 mile run turned into a 1 mile run and a 3.5 mile walk. I have had this soar throat and a nasty cough for about a day or two and when I was running it felt like my lungs were on fire. Now as I sit here I am hacking up a lung! uhg I should have known. Oh well at least I got my cardio in :)

3.5 mile RUN

I ran again today after basically a week without running (not without exercise just without running, was feeling too tired and wore out for some reason). I ran 3.5 miles wanted to do 4 but just wasn't feeling it, glad i got 3.5 in though. Felt great.

Monday, Monday

Okay so after 2 days off (not feeling so hot) I decided to hop back on the treadmill this morning only to find running made my headache worse. So I decided I was just going to walk, walking is better than nothing, right?

I walked 4 miles. Kinda boring but I stuck it out. Hoping to run again tomorrow!

ab ripper x and kenpo x

This morning we went and played 9 holes of golf! So fun! perfect weather too!

This afternoon I did ab ripper x and kenpo x. I wasn't really sure if I was going to get a workout in since my morning was thrown off a bit (had to get blood work done fasting). I am so happy that I did actually do something though!

Tomorrow I was planning on doing a longish run outside, however, it looks like there is going to be rain/snow in the morning so that plan might not actually happen. We'll see in the morning what the weather is doing and what I decide to do.
