20 minutes

Today I ran 20 minutes with a 5 min warm up and a 5 min cool down. I think I will add 2 minutes this week. 22 minute runs!

20 minutes of running again

Today I ran 20 minutes again. It felt very good. May need to take a day off of running my foot is hurting a little. I also did some walking at an incline. 45 minutes total. 3.5 miles total.

20 min run and foot is feeling much happier!

Today I decided to just run for 20 minutes and see if that made my foot happier. It did! I ran 20 minutes and walked 5 on either side for a total of 30 minutes. Total milage 2.5 miles.

Today I ran 4 miles on the treadmill at a 10:40 pace. My foot hurts a bit so I am going to ice it and pray I didn't overdo it!

I did p90x legs and back today. I am going to be SORE tomorrow! After taking 4 weeks off of legs due to the foot injury I think I will be really sore tomorrow! Felt great though!

rest day and 2 miles

Saturday was a rest day as we went to Bozeman. Today I ran 2 miles at 10:30 pace. I wanted to do more but I couldn't because I was in a hurry because Jeff's parents were here. Oh well, at least I got 2 miles in. Foot still feels fine.

4 miles running 5 miles total!

I ran 4 miles today! Felt great! I walked .25 at the beginning and .75 at the end. Yay I am so happy my foot is getting better. I have been looking into a few races so I am excited!

Today I did p90x shoulders and arms. Felt good and did 15 pounds for a lot of it. Tomorrow will be a running day :)

Rest day

Today I took a well needed rest day. Felt good to sleep in. Trying to decide whether I want to run or do weights tomorrow. I am thinking probably weights then run on Friday, weights on Saturday and run on Sunday when Jeff's parents are coming and may be here early so I can run outside. i think that is the best plan.

3.25 miles

Today I ran 2.5 miles and walked .75 for a total of 3.25 miles. my foot felt fine. It really only hurts first thing in the morning and without shoes. Weird. Not sure what to make of it. I need a rest day badly I was really tired. I may take that rest day tomorrow.

Today I ran 3 miles. It was challenging towards the end. My foot wasn't hurting too bad it was just hard since it has been 3 weeks since I had run 3 miles. I then walked .75 miles for a total of 4 miles. My foot feels fine while in a shoe. Hoping I am going to be okay. After my run I did 3x30 single leg lift, 3x20 laying down leg kick backs, 3x20 side leg lifts (each side). These were challenging. I really want to do p90x legs and back but I don't want to push it and put so much weight on my foot. Tomorrow I will take the day off running. Not sure if I will do chest and back or if I will take a rest day.

walk and p90x arms and shoulders

Today when I got up Jeff asked if I wanted to go for a walk. How was I supposed to turn that down! So we went for a 2.34 mile walk. It was really icy so we just went on an out and back on Bitterroot. It was nice to get outside for some exercise. I considered running when we got back but decided the walk was enough as far as putting weight on my foot. I did p90x arms and shoulders. I upped the weight for some of the exercises from 10lbs to 15 lbs. It was definitely a challenge. Hope to feeling tomorrow :)

2.5 miles

Today I decided to run even though my foot was till hurting a little. Once I put on my shoes I was fine. Kinda funny how shoes do that! Anyway ran 2.5 and walked 1 for a total of 3.5. Felt really good during the run and wanted to go further but decided not to as to not reinjure myself. Off to shower and ice it to make sure the healing continues.

Rest day

I feel like I am writing rest day a lot! Oh well I need to take things easy and slowly as to not injure myself!
I didn't do anything today. I have been thinking that I may need to reevaluate my plan. Maybe go down to running every other day instead of 2-3 days in a row. I may try that and see how it works for me.

Today I ran 2 miles and walked 1.4 miles. It felt good while running, however my foot is now hurting a bit more. What a frustrating process. I am thinking about taking tomorrow off to see if that helps. Oh well, still getting there!

Yay.... I ran 1 mile!

I cannot believe I am cheering for 1 mile, but after 2 full weeks off of running due to a foot injury I will take it! I ran 1 mile and walked 2. Felt good. Foot still feels good (7:30pm) so hoping I am heading towards being off the injured list! I am planning on running 1.5 miles on Tuesday. and adding .5 a day until I get back up to 3-4 miles and then .5 more on Friday/Saturday to build up my base again.

Finally trying to get back into things...

Yesterday I walked 2.5 miles (15m/m) at an incline of 5%. My foot felt okay, it was still a little tender, I was too scared to run still. I am thinking that I will try to run on Tuesday morning if it feels okay. This is a start, at least I am walking :)
